Anorexic

Definition of Anorexic:

An agent that diminishes or suppresses the appetite for food. Most of the drugs used for this purpose are central nervous system stimulants (the amphetamines and similar sympathomimetic amines). These drugs should not be used in a lifelong weight-control program. Abuse of them, which is frequent, can lead to tolerance and psychological dependence [Miller-Keane2003].
